ICMAD Announces Cosmetic Innovators of The Year

The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD), Palatine, IL, recognized nine member companies for their innovative products, package designs and marketing ideas at the association’s sixth annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of the Year, held June 11 at the Strata Restaurant in New York City. On presenting the awards, ICMAD president David Schieffelin of ybf, llc, said, “The CITY Awards represent dedication, effort and creativity by members of ICMAD and recognize the innovations that independent companies bring to the beauty industry. For me, the CITY Awards represent everything that makes our business so dynamic.”

CIBS’ Ladies Day Luncheon Draws Crowd

Almost 900 attendees were on hand as the Cosmetics Industry Buyers and Suppliers (CIBS) held its popular, annual Ladies Day Spring Luncheon. This year CIBS collaborated with the Fashion Institute of Technology to create a very fashionable and trendy atmosphere. The theme of the event was the traditional Ladies Day, but with a “French twist,” complete with an entertaining performance by the Cancan Dance Company.
